Hi - Ho It's off to work I go!

Yes, very soon I will be heading off to work again. I don't really feel like going. I'd like a weekend off since I work every weekend. It can be frustrating, but at least I am on my feet moving. I walked on my treadmill today too for 30 minutes with a 5 min warm-up and 5 min cool-down included. So, along with work I should be burning some good calories today!

I got a new scale today while at the store. New things always motivate me. I hope this keeps me motivated!

TREADMILL 30 MINUTES - est. 140 calories burned

GOAL <1800 Calories
B:
2 eggs, 1 potato, onion, ketchup, pineapple: 320

L:
Tortilla, ham, lettuce, 1T lt cream chs, rice w/ peas: 430

To be updated.

Saturday -- Saturday

What a great day I had! After breakfast this morning Michael and I went for a 30 minutes walk. I have yet to figure out the distance, but 30 minutes of walking is good either way. Michael rides his bike along side me and it works out great. After our walk Ron, Michael and I went fishing, but had ZERO luck! I have not caught any good fish this whole year and now I am running out of time as it is already almost mid-September! Next year we hope to get a fishing boat so we can actually get places on the lakes. I love being on the water!

I decided to start up my journal again, though I never know if I can keep it up! I find I am so busy with work, school and Michael I can go days without doing "fun" things on the computer. Either way, if anyone is interested I try my hardest to keep this up. I have been weighing in on Tuesdays at work with my office pal, Angie. It's nice to have someone else seeing if there has been progress. It's embarrassing when there is not! I do have a concern for the upcoming weigh-in. Some reason I am like4-5 lbs. over my last weight and I haven't done anything bad! It's depressing...

Anyhow, here is the latest weight stats starting August 31st and my food and exercise log for the day.

DATE TOTAL
08/31/2009
09/07/2009 - 4.2 4.2
09/14/2009 - 1.6 5.8

EXERCISE: 30 MINUTE WALK (103 Calories)

GOAL: 1800 calories
B:
2 eggs, 1 potato, onion and ketchup: 290
L:
Lean Cuisine Pizza, 1 apple w/ PB: 570
S:
Chicken Wrap w/ broc & pine nuts: 310
D:
Pea soup, cottage cheese, peaches: 390
S: 3 Lite Beers (I love my beer!) 294 = 1854

BLAH!

Okay, so I did great all week then Thursday... down the tube. Friday partially bad and same with Saturday. I don't know how that happens. It's like I have no control at all. I say bad, but it certainly could have been worse! I didn't eat fast food every day or have any pizza. Just other bad food choices and not carefully watching portions. I'll be okay. I had a good dinner tonight. Michael and I had roasted chicken, baked potato and peas. I have tater tot hot dish in the oven right now, but I primarily made that for Ron to eat.

So, with that being said. I only lost 1 lb. One sticking measly pound. As long as I can get myself back on track tomorrow and do good all week, I'm certain I will do better for next Saturdays weigh-in. I just hate that I know I could have done better.

Time to get Michael ready for bed. He's been running around crazy the past hour hopefully tiring himself out!

Sunday, Monday Happy Days

I had to work yesterday and today so I kind of forgot to log in to post my weigh in, but I did have a loss of 2 lbs. Usually I do a lot better the first week in, but I'll take the 2 lbs.

I have tomorrow off and was really looking forward to watching "The Strangers" tonight, but no the xbox crapped out and our DVD player is broken! Gee. Nothing works right around here!

I ate very well this week, even with our pot-luck at work. I was too afraid to eat food that I wasn't sure of how it was made. Good for me! I only got on my treadmill once this week, but I hadn't really set a goal as to how many times I'd like to get on it. I should really aim for at least 3 days. I did however rake leaves for like... 10 minutes! Michael decided they looked better spread throughout the yard so I gave up. Now they're all over the place again. Thanks kiddo!

It is only 9 and I'm bored and I am tired. No movie to watch and I don't feel like doing any homework. So, I guess I will go and lay on the couch and find some lame TV show to watch. Nothing much good on these days...

NIGHT!

Holy smokes! Where have I been?

I realized today that I hadn't touched this blog since February. How naughty of me! Though, I guess I really haven't had much going on to blog about. In March I had started a new job where in the 3 months while there, I gained 25 lbs. Ridiculous!! Though, as of Sept. 1, I was back at the nursing home. My boss and I have the understanding though that it is more than likely only through the winter. I can't afford to stay there.

So, while now being back on my feet and enjoying it - I'm ready to get my butt in gear! I hate posting my weight because it's extremely embarrassing, but I think it will just because. There are 2 girls at my work who also are trying to lose, so we are doing in together.

Another big thing for me is my upcoming 30th birthday. Yes, it's still over 5 months away, but it will be here before I know it! My goal is have lost at least 25 lbs. by then. I think it is realistic as long as I stick to the plan. I also have started taking Alli again. I really enjoyed it the last time I took it as I think it really helped keep me honest about my food choices. If I ate too much fat - I'd pay the price.

So- as of Saturday I was 218. I'll weigh again this coming Saturday and see how I do.
Check back!

Well, as of today I'm down 14.2 lbs. since New Years. That's kind of a lot in just over a month. Could it be my low-carbing? How about stress? Yeah, either way I'm losing weight. Even 2 people from work have commented that they noticed. That's always nice to hear.

Shit around here sucks, but I'm trying to keep a positive attitude. I don't know where life is going to take me over the next few months - It will be interesting to see. Right now I just have to continue to focus on my son, my health, my school and job hunting. Everything happens for a reason, right?

I need summer. Summer always makes me happy.

Icky Sticky!

Yeah, you better believe it! Just did 45 minutes on the treadmill and I'm icky sticky. I wasn't really motivated to get on, but once I got going it was good. I am still listening to that dance mix CD I got for my birthday last year (I think it was my birthday?). It really keeps me going. So - GOOD FOR ME!

So, I was sitting here thinking of how I'm supposed to figure out how much weight I've lost. Should I be going way back to calculating from my highest weight back when I first met with Heidi in like 2000? If I keep using the weight I'm at every time I start over, I look like I'm not accomplishing much! hahaha.

If I use my highest weight ever, I am down 39 lbs. If I use my most recent high weight, I am down 8.4 lbs. Either way, it's down!

Nothing else new. Still trying to find a new job. I just applied for another job - medical records in Sartell. Sartell you ask? It's by St. Cloud about 1/2 hour from me. I have to find something, soon.

Nothin much more to write about..

Good morning snowy Thursday!

I didn't know it was going to snow. I'm rather disappointed! I was planning to take a day for myself today. I'm going to fill out an application in Monticello, go get my hair done after that and then finish up some shopping I have for a few babies that will be born soon and to get groceries. Can't follow a diet without the proper foods, right?? The snow won't stop me though, no way!

So, I have some amazing results for week one (again) diet. I lost SIX pounds this week. Yes, I said S-I-X! That is just tad bit unrealm no? I know losing fast isn't as healthy, but it will slow down - always does. Let's see how I do next week.

Well, time to get some breakfast going and think about cleaning off my car in a while. BRR. Have a great weekend. I'll post next week!

Yuuuuck :)

I did get on my treadmill again today, yay me! I even did 45 minutes worth. I wasn't going to (shame on me), but I did!

Not much else to post. Looking forward to a bit of a warm up this weekend.
Of course every new year we all come up with resolutions and of course, most of us fail to do any of them. Unfortunately, I'm one of those who fail! This year I have decided things have to change. All I can say is I will do my absolute best to keep up with my resolutions. I will share them with you.

1. Lose 30 pounds. (I plan to lose more-this is a start)
2. Find a job that pays well. (love my job, not the pay)
3. Work on paying off unnessessary debt. (icky, icky debt)

So, there ya go. Starting things off on the right track, I have applied for 2 more jobs this week and today I was on my treadmill for 30 minutes! I'm proud of myself.

My plan as far as diet and exercise is that the days I work until 11:30 or the days I have off, I will get on the treadmill for at least 30 minutes. That will be probably about 3 days a week. As far as eating? I'm actually going to try to low carb again using the Southbeach plan, not Atkins. Southbeach focuses more on lean proteins, reduced fats and healthy carbohydrates unlike Atkins with high fat and no carbs. We'll see. Otherwise, I may jump back on with Weight Watchers. My cousin is joining the gym in town and possibly joining WW, so I told her we will weigh in together once a week at my place. Sounds like I have a partner - that's so excellent!

As far as the other resolutions go, applying and applying for jobs and I need extra money to pay off debt. Hope everyone has a great 2008!

So, nobody bothered to remind me I hadn't posted in 2 months! Guess, nobody noticed! :) Anyhow.. not much to report. Michael had a birthday Oct. 23rd, he is now 2 and certainly doesn't hide that either. He can really be a handful at times!

As far as weight loss? There hasn't been any. I've been fluctuating 1-3 lbs. I'm glad it's not more. I planned on starting tomorrow again, but of course Christmas day will be impossible, but I'm going to try my best.

I've realized lately that I really have begun to like music again. Not that I disliked it, but now I seem to want it on all the time. I need an ipod or something of the sort that I can download tons of my favorite songs on... maybe after taxes I can get one. I'm too poor right now!

Work is going well other than I'm job hunting because I need more pay. Hopefully I'll find something soon. It sucks though, becauase I love working there. I decided if I do find another job that I want to volunteer when I can. It's a great little place with great people.

Well, I'm being called by Michael. I'll update a bit more I'm sure once the holidays are over.

Computer is on the fritz!

My computer is dying or has already died. It won't load my profile for WindowsXP, which is my main admin profile. It says it has a corrupt file or something....... So, I have nothing I had before. I am logged on temporarily and when I shut down, anything I've done will be lost. Isn't that great? So, that means I lost all my e-mail addresses, my newly done resume and ALL of my pictures that I have taken. GRRRRR. At least most are uploaded to flickr.com so ... THANKS SIS!!

Anyhow, due to this matter, I'm weighing today in case I don't get around to messing with the computer again tomorrow. I am down 1.5 this week. Who knows, maybe tomorrow would be a full 2 lbs. but I'm okay with the 1.5. Just will be a bigger loss for next week. It's all the same, right? :)

Well, that's that! Time to go relax after working all weekend... I don't like my weekends to work. So boring, so slow... SOOO ready to be home!

All hope is not lost!

I didn't really forget, just didn't get around to it! Michael has had a cold and running a temp. so he's been demanding more of me right now. Yesterday I ended up having to stay home with him, which wasn't all so bad since he kept me up all night anyhow. Today though, he's feeling much better! Sick, miserable kids are no fun.

Anyhow, I only lost 1 lb. this week, but hey - it's a loss! I actually expected to gain, but I guess I didn't do as bad as I thought. Although, I'm sure being active regularly at work helps keep me moving even if I do eat bad more than I should whereas before, I was so inactive it just stayed with me.

This girl at work today asks me "Are you busy?"? Of course I said no, since I was just standing around decideing what I wanted to do next. She had me read her weight on the resident scale for her since moving changes the number. She's my age I would assume. Anyhow, she said she's lost around 100 lbs. I was in awe! Not that I want to lose 100 lbs., but still... I want to be there too! At this point, my goal is to lose around 40 more lbs. and then decide what I want to do from there. I had hopes to lose 30 by Christmas... I'm not even half way there! There are 26 weeks until my birthday. If I lost 1 lb. a week, I'd be 1 lb. away from my 40 lb. goal! That's be cool :)

Time to go eat my Healthy Choice frozen lunch!

No shocker here!

I forgot to post. Monday I didn't feel well so really didn't spend much time online, but I did weigh. No loss. Big shocker! Though, at least I did not gain. A simple stay the same weigh-in. Though, this morning I am down 1/2 a pound. Wow ;)

Well, cooking off some chicken right now. Figured I would update while I have a minute. Let's hope for a good number Monday!

I am kind of being a pig this weekend and I can't stop snacking! I had a good breakfast, lunch and dinner, but have been doing the grazing thing all day. I don't want to let it get the best of me like it's done in the past. I'll do my best tomorrow and still weigh in on Monday. Hopefully I lose or at least stay the same. Just wanted to post this as I feel guilty!

Nothing really exciting going on around here. I have started training in dietary and I really like that, too. Hopefully I'll be able to pick up one more evening during the week since I can't get the Sundays now. Darn people.

I have heartburn and I'm not quite sure why... green onions or asian seasoned vegetables? Who knows, but it sucks. I very rarely ever get heartburn. *sob

HOORAY - NO WORK TOMORROW! I just put Michael to bed so it's time to relax. I must say, he's doing so well with wanting to go to bed! I started doing 'relax time' about 20-30 minutes before I'm going to put him to bed. He grabs his 3 blankets from his crib along with his monkey, alligator and bear. He lays on the couch (I sit) with the light off and watch whatever. Then I say, "okay, lets go to bed. Grab your animals". He does, and we walk to his room. What a good boy! His 2nd birthday is Oct. 23. He then will be moved to a toddler bed. That will be interesting.

Night!

Weigh Day

Down 1 pound this week. I'll take that. I sort of ate poorly a few more meals than usual, but I didn't go overboard or anything.

We did have fast food twice, but at Taco Bell I had a hardshell taco - fresco style (adds pico de gallo, but no cheese & no sour cream) along with pintos and cheese. Then Ron decided he wanted McDonalds the next day, and I had two grilled chiptole snack wraps minus the cheese. When I came home I looked up the snack wraps on McDonalds website and by removing the cheese I don't tase anyhow, it saves 40 calories and 3 grams of fat x2! Hey, every bit counts!! At least I know how to order when we do find ourselves with fast food in our hands.

What a busy day I have today. I worked this morning 6-1130 and I go back tonight to start training in dietary from 430-8pm. I will be working dietary now every other Monday night and every other Wednesday night (alternating weeks). Then also picking up the 2 Sundays I don't work housekeeping from 545-145pm. Yay. This actually will put me right around 40 hours a week. I really enjoy working there - who would have thought?

Well, time to go make me a BLT. I've learned to eat tomatos (most of the time) and also have been buying turkey bacon. So, my BLTs are healthy! Yum.

Well, after expecting no loss or a gain.. I'm proud to report a loss of 1.5. That's 11 lbs. now in 2 1/2 months, but 7 lbs. loss this past month. YAY!

Have to keep this short, but figured I would update incase anyone came to look.

Golly gee...

What a disappointment this week has been so far in the weight department. As of today, I was UP two pounds!!! UP! I have been doing so good and I have not been going over my allowed calories. I've been drinking tons of water and keeping active. Even on my days off, I'm busy busy around the house and even have been walking with Michael & my mom. What is up with that??

Tomorrow is Sunday which means only one more day until my weigh in. I am not anticipating any loss at all and at this rate, I expect a gain although completely undeserved! Dang it anyhow.

Today I did some more painting during the day and when that was done, I cleaned the livingroom, slightly rearranging. Then I cleaned Michaels room and sorted all of his clothes, cleaned the kitchen and did dishes, vaccuumed and I did all the laundry. Not that the little things burn a lot of calories, but I'm pleased that I am keeping myself busy and not just sitting on my butt watching T.V. Although, now that I did most everything today... I might just sit around tomorrow!

Well, just put the last load into the dryer so I'm off to relax for an hour before bed. We'll see what happens Monday....

Tuesday

I weight myself every day even though 'they' say not to. Anyhow, I was down a pound today. So I guess this week (eventhough weigh-in was yesterday) I only lost a single pound. At least I didn't gain!!

I am also proud to report I am officially under my pre-pregnancy weight. Yay :) Actually, past it up 3.5 lbs. ago. I also, fit into a pair of jeans I hadn't fit into since last year. They weren't tight tight, but tight enough I didn't want to wear them. I have them on today. Yay me :)

Today is my 'naughty' day. I like to keep it close to weigh day so I have a week to still eat healthy and work towards a loss. Nothing special today though. I worked this a.m. and Ron works until 10:30 tonight. We're just going to have dinner and a couple beers together. Fun. They have these awesome seafood calzones at his restaurant and he's bringing me one home. Dinner at 10:30 is not typical for me. I've actually been eating dinner by 7:30 lately which is a huge change for me! But these calzones... They're SO bad for you (made with mozzarella and alfredo), but they are OH-SO DELICIOUS!

Well, Michael wants my attention. Later-

Well, I KNOW I did good this week other than my one day off.. but to my surprise, the scale did not move! Not even .5 as of this mornings weigh-in. How frustrating. Oh well, maybe it's water weight and I'll have a nice loss next Monday.

Just got home from work so wanted to post before I forgot. My dad is here trimming some trees and doing some puttying. Fun stuff. So, better go see what I can do to be helpful!

Do you forget your child?

I do this all the time... No, not forgetting my child! Golly gee whiz! Haha..

When I do things without Michael that I regularly would have him with for, it feels weird and sometimes I look to the backseat and rethink where he is. It's actually kind of funny. I know that I didn't leave him anywhere, yet I remind myself where he is. Today, after my grocery shopping visit, I thought about where Michael was. Decided it was time to ramble some thoughts. I so funny!

Looking forward to the weekend... Yes, it's only Tuesday. I have started planning on doing things around the house on my weekends off just to keep busy. This weekend I'm painting the peak on my house since some dumb person decided to paint it the color of the trim. Hello! It's SIDING! So, I'm painting it white. I just may paint my stairway and 3 walls in the kitchen 'bright white' too. Busy busy! Oh.. yes, my kitchen is held up with 3 walls. Odd. Just kidding! The 4th wall I'm going to paint a nice red, but not until I find the right red rugs, first.

Well, going to go watch "Barnyard" and clip coupons now.

It's Monday!

Well, I lost another 2 lbs. this week. 9.5 now since beginning of July. Though, I'm down 5.5 lbs. since August 20th (2 weeks!) Not too shabby.

I think it really helps that Ron works nights again. That's how I did so well last summer. Then I only really think about myself for dinner and Michael either eats what I make or his little meals. Simple!

I had to work the long shift all weekend, alone. Thank goodness it's only every 3rd weekend. That's not much fun at all. I felt rushed ALL the time rather than on my regular shifts during the week, I just work at a normal pace. Same amount of hours, but boy does it seem to take forever!

Anyway, if I don't post mid week, I'll update next Monday.

Yippity Skippity

Monday weigh in: Down: 3.5 lbs. Go me! That's 7.5 since the beginning of July. Not too bad since I have only been really "trying" for the past week or so.

So... I could start from last Monday when I officially started again, but since my 'ticker' is going back to a higher weight. I might as well stick to that since it's accurate in the long run.

It's actually been extremely easy for me this week! Who would have thought? I gave myself the usual one day a week, which was last Wednesday. I didn't exercise at home, but I think that my job keeps me active enough for now. I think having a job that keeps me moving is really what I needed! Finding time and energy at home to exercise is so hard. Once I lose more, I will start and also start adding weights, but for right now this works.

Nothing else new around here. Ron is enjoying his new job and I am still enjoying mine! Michael is doing really well and just in the past 2 weeks has started saying so many more words. It's so fun! I can't wait for him to start putting words together!

All for now-

It's been nearly 3 weeks since I last wrote. I'm such a slacker! Though as usual, not posting always means I'm not doing great in the diet department.

I quit that job processing research surveys after a week. I could not handle it. Though, the following week I started a new job and I really like it! What is it you ask? I'm working at a nursing home doing housekeeping. Hahaha, right? It's definately not a dream job, but I actually really enjoy it! It's a small place so it's easy to get to know the other staff members and also the residents. Also, a huge plus for me... I'm active for 5-7 hours a day! Other than one or two 15 minute breaks, I'm on my feet. Other than being a little tired from being on my feet, I generally feel good when I get home.

Ron started a new job, too. He's now working at Madigans which is pretty much in my back yard. Hooray for no gas expense for him! It works nicely though, I work from 6:15am to either 11:30am or 1:30pm and he starts work at 5pm. So, no childcare! I'm currently trying to find something to do 2-3 nights a week for some extra money. I'd like to pay off some lingering bills.

So, I started deiting AGAIN today. Why waste this perfect opportunity to get paid to exercise? hehe! I'll check back in a week or so unless I feel like it sooner. NIGHT!
